Bayside appoints Jennifer Williams

Jennifer Williams, who has been appointed Chief Executive
Office of Bayside Health.

Bayside Health has appointed Jennifer Williams as Chief Executive.
Ms Williams will take up her appointment on October 18, replacing
Dr Michael Walsh, who moved to London earlier this year to work
with the UK National Health Service.
Ms Williams joins Bayside Health from Austin Health, where she
has been Chief Executive since 1997.
She has a Bachelor of Economics from La Trobe University and a
Master of Science from American University in Washington DC.
Ms Williams has held a number of senior positions in the Victorian
public sector including Director of Aged, Community and Mental Health
and Director of
Psychiatric Services with the Department of Human Services, General
Manager of Information and Commercial Services with the Department
of Treasury and Finance and Deputy Secretary of the Attorney Generals
Department.
She was also Victorian Business Woman of the Year (Public Sector)
in 1995.
Bayside Health Board Chair Professor Stephen Duckett said Ms Williams
had been highly successful in her role at Austin Health and was
widely regarded as one of the most capable health service chief
executives.
We welcome Ms Williams appointment to Bayside Health
and look forward to tackling many challenges and opportunities with
her at the helm.
Her wide experience will equip her well for the challenges
of the Chief Executives position.
Ms Williams said her years with Austin Health had been the most
fulfilling and rewarding of her career to date and had included
many major milestones.
Im looking forward to working with the many capable
staff across Sandringham, Caulfield and the Alfred, Ms Williams
said.
