Keeping their act clean
Cleaning services at Latrobe Regional Hospital play a vital role
in preventing infections.
Hospital cleaning is closely monitored to ensure that it meets
the cleaning standards for Victorian hospitals set down by the Department
of Human Services.
At least 10 areas are subjected to a strict cleaning audit using
a standardised process every month and must achieve a minimum score
of 80 per cent.
Internal audit results show that Latrobe Regional regularly achieves
a score of over 90 per cent compliance with the standards.
External audits are conducted annually.
Latrobe Regionals latest external audit score was 91.2 per
centan improvement on last years score of 90 per cent.
