Barbecues fire up for Heart Foundation Thousands of Australians are expected to fire up the barbie in support of the Heart Foundations National Barbecue Day on November 25. National Barbecue Day aims to recognise, encourage and celebrate barbecuing while raising money for the Heart Foundation. Individuals and community groups can support the event by hosting a barbecue for family, friends or colleagues in the backyard, on the beach or in the park and collecting a donation from guests. Registered hosts receive a kit containing recipes, summer health tips and information to ensure the barbecue is a success. To register call the Heartline on 1300 362 787 or visit the website at www.nationalbbqday.com.au.
