Conference to focus on post-IYV volunteering

Volunteering Victoria’s 4th Biennial State Conference will address issues for the future for the sector post-International Year of the Volunteer.

The conference will be held between September 22 and 25 at which only four papers will be presented.

These 16 issues will be workshopped to identify further areas of study or work to be carried out by the sector.

Conference themes will be:

• Legal issues in volunteerism;

• International issues and their relevance to Australia;

• Excellence in volunteerism;

• Diversity in volunteerism.
