Forum looks at young carer issues

Personal stories, guest speakers and an interactive panel discussion—including a rural perspective—will be features of a forum focusing on young carer issues.

The Hidden Carers: Young Carer Issues forum will be held in at the Royal Women’s Hospital, 132 Grattan Street, Carlton between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on August 7.

The absolutely women’s health program, Villa Maria Carers Services, Centre for Adolescent Health and Carers Victoria will host the forum.

Guest speakers will include Julie Nankervis of Carers Victoria, Vivienne Colegrove of Villa Maria Carer Services and young people from the Paying Attention To Self Program at the Centre for Adolescent Health.

The absolutely women’s health program is a health promotion program for all women that is part of the Women’s Health Program of The Royal Women’s Hospital.
