Award for Melbourne Health annual report

Melbourne Health has won the Australasian Reporting Awards (ARA) Public Sector Corporate Governance Reporting Award for its 2002 Annual Report.

At the awards ceremony the ARA singled out Melbourne Health for its ‘excellent report’ and the importance the organisation attached to corporate governance issues.

The judges said the report included ‘clearly-stated policies and disclosure of required, and additional, information.’

A complete section on Corporate Governance reflected the importance Melbourne Health assigned to these issues.

‘The information about the role and activities of the Board is noteworthy,’ the judges said.

The Corporate Governance Award was introduced by ARA in association with Chartered Secretaries Australia in 1998 to recognise quality of disclosure of corporate governance practices.
