Tatura Hospital has been judged the cleanest district hospital in the state following a Department of Human Services cleaning audit.

Tatura received an overall score of 98.7 out of 100.

Goulburn Valley Health’s Rushworth campus also performed well, scoring an above average 96.7 out of 100.

‘We are very proud of the Tatura cleaning team and, indeed, the efforts of the cleaning staff at Rushworth and Shepparton as well,’ said Goulburn Valley Health Chief Executive Officer Greg Pullen.

‘The staff take pride in their work and the results are indicative of this.

‘The community also appreciates receiving the assurance that an independent, external audit provides.’

‘It is great to receive this award and to understand what can be achieved as a team member,’ said Tatura Hospital Cleaning Supervisor Maria Sacco.

‘It makes me proud that I am one the team.’

The Shepparton campus also performed well, scoring 93.4 out of 100.

Mr Pullen and Tatura Director of Nursing Fran Reynolds presented certificates of appreciation to Tatura cleaning staff at a Hospital Sunday function.
