Conference focus on child safety
The registration brochure for the 2005 National Protective Behaviours
Conference in October is now available.
The Keeping Kids Safe: A Blueprint for the Future conference
will be held at the Carlton Crest Hotel, Melbourne, on October 13
and 14.
It will bring together papers and interactive workshops exploring
research and innovative initiatives promoting resilience and capacity
building, safe schools and communities, violence prevention and
the protection of children and young people.
Keynote speakers will be Professor of Child Care and Protection
at the University of Dundee Brigid Daniel, Victorias Child
Safety Commissioner Bernie Geary, Victorian Controlled Aboriginal
Health Organisation (VACCHO) Chief Executive Officer Muriel Bamblett
and lawyer, writer and human rights advocate Moira Rayner.
