Cultural approach to education day

Keysborough Kindergarten kids on Education Day.

Keysborough kinder kids, their mums and grandmothers dressed in
family cultural costume to mark Preschool Education Day.
The kindergartens 45 participants and their families represent
Keysboroughs diverse cultures.
The children wore Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Cambodian, Korean
and Turkish traditional dress.
There were even some wearing traditional Australian gearAFL
jumpers and scarves.
Keysborough Kindergarten Committee President Jane Hong, whose background
is Korean, said the Education Day activities included preparation
of nutritious food from around the world.
Were trying to show that parents, committee members,
kids and the teachers can work together as a team to make the most
memorable time for the kids attending our centre, Ms Hong
said.
