A land and house package in Ballarat will aid the local disability
service McCallum.
The four-bedroom, brick veneer, located in one of Ballarats
new areas, will be available for private sale in late July.
Proceeds of the sale after repayment of an interest-free loan will
go to the McCallum Foundation.
The foundation was established in October 2003 to help meet the
financial needs of McCallum Disability Services, whose programs
for people with a disability include adult training support services,
supported employment, accommodation and independent living and attendant
care.
As well the interest-free loan from the ANZ Bank, the foundation
gained the help of a local builder and land developer.
JG King Homes acquired materials through its suppliers under special
arrangements and Lake Gardens provided the land under a generous
financial arrangement.
McCallum CEO Shane Molloy said that the project offered a tremendous
fundraising opportunity.
