World conference promotes Department work

The Department of Human Services will showcase its range of health promotion and education work at the 18th World Conference on Health Promotion and Health Education.

The Department’s exhibition will be one of the centrepiece displays at the conference, to be held between April 26 and 30 at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The display will represent program areas from Rural and Regional Health and Aged Care, Metropolitan Health and Aged Care, Community Care and Disability Services Divisions and the Office of Housing.

It will highlight initiatives such as Neighbourhood Renewal, Primary Care Partnerships, healthy ageing, diabetes prevention, Community Building, Health and Wellbeing and Best Start and services to tackle problem gambling, drug and alcohol abuse and obesity.
