Congress to pursue childhood issues

‘Early bird’ registration for the 2004 World Congress of the World Organisation for Early Childhood Education (OMEP) closes on April 30.

The OMEP congress will be held in Melbourne from July 21 to 24.

People with an interest in child and family-related policy, early childhood practitioners, policy makers, academics and legal and medical professionals are encouraged to attend.

The congress is based on the theme One World: Many Childhoods and has attracted distinguished Australian and international speakers including 2003 Australian of the Year Professor Fiona Stanley.

The Department of Human Services is a principal sponsor of the congress, providing translation services.
